“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things
you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away
from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.
Discover.” – Mark Twain

Hello World!!

I have put off creating my blog for way to long. My trip to Taiwan is getting closer and closer every day. The idea of studying abroad was a sweet day dream I could indulge in after a long day of studying and now it is becoming a reality. I feel the excitement, curiosity and “magic” of my upcoming adventure. I also feel fear and uncertainty. My mom says this is natural and that the negative feelings will melt away as soon as I get to Taiwan.

On a more positive note, my study abroad advisor Tom told me a couple of days ago I will receive my acceptance letter next week. That’s great news!! I was getting worried because it was taking so long. My other friends were not only getting their letters but getting their visas approved. Even with my acceptance letter I can’t breathe a sigh of relief yet. I still need to go get my visa, buy a plane ticket, apply for a host family and pack. Though all of these are logistic things that will fall into place soon.
